The word "equinox" derives from the Latin word aequus, meaning "equal", and nox, "night." Durring the equinox the sun crosses the celestial equator resulting in the day and night being equal in lenth. Â The equinox is an amazing time to honor the seasona and the land that nourishes us. as well as cultivating a deeper sence on ballance within.Â
